After working as an Epic Willow Application Analyst transitioning 7 major hospitals around Boston to Epic (2014-17) and working on healthcare data integration at athenahealth Population Health building a 360-degree view of ACO patients with claims, EHR, and HL7 2.x data (2017-18), I've worked in the Real World Data/Evidence space since 2018.
From 2019 until late 2022, I was one of the first Data Engineers to build out the Health Catalyst RWD Engineering team and delivered a variety of data acquisition, de-identification, data quality, NLP, and data architecture projects.
At Health Catalyst, I initiated the design and build of our COVID-19 dataset starting in early March 2020. Our early start and rapid data collection from hospitals across the US led to our involvement in the COVID-19 Evidence Accelerator working with FDA and other much larger and more established RWD/RWE players. Our team contributed to several publications written about the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 and 2022.
From 2022-today, I have been leading Data Engineering at Atropos Health, a venture-backed startup that provides on-demand evidence from real world data to close evidence gaps in healthcare and life sciences.
I hold a MSc in Health Informatics and Analytics from the Tufts University School of Medicine and have taught graduate courses at TUSM and Northeastern University.
